There are 3 hand cannons that spin upon equip, and its model, while unique, isn't really as different. Even The Last Word, the only comparable weapon to Thorn in terms of grimoire, doesn't feel quite so special now. It has its own sound, own gun model, hell, even its own bullet design.
While that could be nothing more than an expression of my overwhelming Destiny obsession, I think it's worth sharing.īefore I post it, I just want to say - we've never had another gun quite like Thorn. After I read it, it legitimately gave me chills. The thing that has stuck with me after that little grimoire experience was the one named "Ghost Fragment: Thorn 2". In comparison, the Bad Juju has a grimoire of just 2 sentences. No other weapon in the game has this much detail in its backstory (except for The Last Word). One thing stood out to me - it has 4 grimoire cards of its own, dedicated to its backstory.
While doing grimoire research for the community raid design a few months ago, I found the Thorn grimoire.
